Are MANIAC rounds long?
No, they are noticeably shorter than classic ones: a round ends when the maniac finds the last survivor or time runs out. As a result a session goes through many quick games in a row.
How is the maniac chosen?
The role is assigned automatically at the start of a round and cannot be bought or claimed. Because of that the line-up changes every round and different players get to be the maniac during a session.
How does MANIAC mode play?
One player becomes the maniac and hunts the rest, while survivors try to last until the end of the round. The sides are deliberately unequal, so the mode is about hiding, sound and timing rather than straight gunfights.
