Find answers to the most frequently asked questions

Is the launcher a cheat?

No. The launcher starts the game with anti-cheat off and only lets you into yooma.su servers. Everything it adds lives on our servers: skins come from a server-side plugin, the overlay, weather and mode effects come from our module, and on any other server they are switched off. Where the launcher does give you wallhack or similar, that is a separate game mode such as WALLHACK or RANDOM CHEATS, where those rules apply to everyone at once.

Do I need a licensed copy of CS2?

Yes. The launcher does not replace the game — it runs on top of a regular Counter-Strike 2 from Steam: it downloads its own files, starts the game and connects you to our servers. Without CS2 installed and without being signed in to Steam it will not start.

Does the launcher contain viruses?

No, the launcher does not contain viruses. It is signed with our digital signature and can be verified via VirusTotal: verification link.

The launcher or game does not start

Contact our technical support or email us at support@yooma.su. If the launcher does not open, try installing WebView2: Microsoft WebView2.

Can I get banned for the skinchanger?

No. The skins exist only on our servers — a server-side plugin hands them out, and the skinchanger does not touch your Steam inventory at all. Outside our servers those skins simply do not exist, so there is nothing to ban you for.

Can I get VAC banned? Is the launcher safe?

Our launcher starts the game in "insecure" mode (anti-cheat disabled), so VAC bans are not possible while using it this way.

Why are Matchmaking and Premier unavailable?

Because the game starts with anti-cheat off, and Valve does not allow official matches in that state. That is exactly the trade-off that keeps VAC away from you. If you need Matchmaking or Premier, start CS2 the usual way from Steam — the launcher leaves no trace there.
